DSTU 8904:2019 Waterproofing of bridges

Welcome to the world of DSTU 8904:2019 “Waterproofing of Bridges” – a document that was born due to the joint efforts of the Technical Committee for Standardization “Bridge Construction” (TC 321) and “M.P. Shulgin State Road Research Institute” (DerzhdorNDI). This standard was born out of humor and love for bridges!

One day, a cheerful team of engineers sat down at the table and decided that bridges also have the right to comfort, especially in rainy weather. This is how this standard was born – a document that ensures that bridges are protected from the rain as if we had put invisible umbrellas on them!

This standard became known to everyone as “Waterproofing of Bridges” and came into force with the joyful order of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Research and Training Center for Standardization, Certification and Quality Problems” (SE “UkrNDNC”) of October 15, 2019, No. 311, will finally be implemented throughout the country from October 1, 2020!
